Block calls in Android: so calm returns

Calls block contacts in Google
In the conventional contacts app by Google to send blocked caller directly to voicemail. Go to the contact, press the pencil icon to edit. There appears top right a menu button with three dots in a vertical line. In the within menu, you hooks all calls to voice mail.

This method has two drawbacks: you can block only contacts whose Nummer are in your address book. And you can show you to blocked callers not in a list: you must just memorize you what callers you have blocked.

Block calls with Samsung smartphones
With a Samsung Smartphone, you will have more choices. This goes in the phone app on more > call settings > call barring and adds entries to the blacklist. The previously blocked calls is hiding behind Protocol.

Block calls with HTC smartphones
At HTC, you block calls from individual contacts. HTC raises the technically so that these contacts will be provided with a note. Opens so a contact in the contacts app. Then press in the main view on the contact block.

You must move into the Dialer app to see the list of blocked contacts. Opens the menu with the three vertical dots there. A roll-call list behind the entry of blocked contacts. The plus icon, you can add numbers that are not in your contact list.

Block calls on LG smartphones
To block calls to LG smartphones, you go into the phone app. There, it opens the menu with the three vertical points. Go to call settings. There opens the call reject. Reject under calls from you can block contacts, entries in the call list and manually typed numbers.

Block calls on Sony Xperias

Stay away from call-blocking apps
There are call blocking apps that promise the above described functionality. Since these apps but get access to your contacts and your phone app, they are to enjoy with caution. The developer can use the permissions to call expensive service numbers. Also, you can use the contact data of your acquaintances, commercially. In this way the purpose of such apps would be going backwards.
